Don't do anything or act suspicious. Doing so gives them probable cause to stop you and check you out.that includes safety checks on your vehicle.

Hey do you comprehend or are you just dense.. I have not received a ticket in the last I don't even know how many years.. So if I drive my car which appearance wise isn't much I get pulled over cause they can't see my seat belt which is B/S. Tires brakes windows lights and exhaust are fine. Now I am tired of arguing with the like of people like you who seem to need mommy to take care of you.. Its not really been that much fun on here and I have other things to occupy my time rime right now.. So long folks!!!!!!!!!!! LOL at JimB. I think you replied to the wrong guy. I don't know who you meant to reply to, but from your reply I know it wasn't me! I was talking to Sniper and what you said had nothing to do with what I was telling sniper! LOL! FB, I am not the one that they harass, Jimmy is. And there is exactly ZERO reason for them to do so other than the appearance of his veicle, but in reality, it is likely in better shape than the car they drive. Just pointing out the baloney that is the thought of if you aren't doing anything wrong, you don't have anything to worry about.

I mean why shouldn't you fear the Stasi? You should NEVER, EVER make eye contact with your overlords. Jesus, what was I thinking that I was a free man?

Id say, that does prove that if you're not doing wrong, you dont have anything to worry about.

Thanks for clearing that up Sniper. From your post it made it sound as if it were you being harassed. But I still can't see someone being harassed for nothing. There must be a reason the police keep stopping them. Something else is going on that we are not being told about. Like I said, I, nor any of my friends or family have ever been stopped without cause.

There is a difference between not worrying about it and the inconvenience of continually being stopped for nothing. How many times would you have to be pulled over for no reason before it started to p!ss you off?

. There must be a reason the police keep stopping them. Something else is going on that we are not being told about. If there was a reason, wouldn't they have found something by now? I have known jimb for quite a while. I believe him to be a normal everyday law-abiding guy who would give the police no reason to be looking at him. I believe Sniper is right that he is profiled because of his car. I had a similar experiences a few years ago when I owned a super clean 1989 Caprice. I was constantly followed, I believe at the time, because I was driving what could be considered a "ghetto" car, even if it didn't have big rims and tinted glass. Once I got rid of that car, I have never been given even a glance by law enforcement.

It might be sort of fun...... Drink just a few swallows of beer and pour the rest on yourself so you reek of beer. Then go through the 'safety check'. I wouldn't actually DO it....but I can see why someone WOULD.... Sometimes folks just need to chill out a little bit. Someone's got to yank the chain once in a while. A lot of times, my friend puts his elbow on the door and sorta holds the side of his head when he drives. It appears he is talking on a cell phone, which he is not. Ottawa cop saw this, come flying out next to him, looked over at him. My buddy turned and used that same hand to wave at the cop. The cop then got behind him,got right on his butt until they reached the Don's Furniture store, then turned around. He wasn't trying to trick the cops either, that's just how he drives when on the highway most of the time, but that is a good way to yank the chain.

Don't poke the Big Dog w/ a stick. You may be a wise guy, but THEY still have a citation book. If anything they will pull you over and waste your time. (Just as a bit of pay back for messing w/ them.) My son messed w/ them a few years ago while on vacation here. They drove by my house.....real slow... at least once a day for the rest of the time he was here.

They look for the likely suspects. Maybe JimB is a good, law abiding citizen, but if you draw attention to yourself you can expect to be "checked out". You probably think that by this time they should know the car and the person driving, but by letting their guard down with routine is when things could happen. I agree, it would be frustrating, but if it were me I would look for the problem and try to change it. Of course, getting a different vehicle is a little absurd. You just have to decide which scenario you want to deal with and which one you want to avoid.

Jimb, drives a non-descript everyday grocery getter, nothing that looks like a drug dealer or child molester van, hardly anything there to profile other than maybe the paint not matching. I am not really sure what kind of criminal the police would think he is.
