This is not exactly the same as a boiler and I am not even sure if it would work efficiently but I saw an ad that looked interesting. It was for radiant heat (in the floors) using your existing water heater instead of installing a boiler. I bet it would have that running constantly unless it was just for a small room addition that needed minimal heating. Lots of people use water heaters, but I am not sure I would want to use the same water heater that I did for my potable water supply for the reasons it would 1.) be terribly difficult to return the water 2.) not really sanitary to use the returned water for potable.

grasser`s does outstanding work and I have found them to be the cheapest when it comes to bids. Exactly! Grassers are the ones that have been doing major projects around this area to the point of having then the professionals and union guys take over. My son in law has worked with these guys on many projects, and did recommend them to us years ago. They also DO specialize in boilers and do know their stuff, unlike a local one that unfortunately "claims" to. M

We give Grassers..... " THUMBS UP, " ALWAYS !
Just an FYI.....
If we have a project that hubby can't fix, he is the runner to retrieve Parts / Tools.
If Grassers or whom ever is doing the work hubby can't accomplish, he's right on top of the person doing the job and Learns what is being done.
I'm sure those working find him to be annoying, yet this has saved us a lot of money in the long run. If parts are needed he runs to Ace, RP Lumber, etc. and picks items up himself. This way; time added on to the job is not an added expense, plus no surcharge is added on.
If he's told the part must come from "The Shop, " this gives him an idea of how long it will take to retrieve what is needed, OR he does have quite the assortment of parts left from other projects that have been done on the house in 34+ yrs.
I wonder how much wasted time is added on to a persons bill consisting of unnecessary charges ¿
