I buy all appliances at Shaw's. Unbelievable service and prices aren't that much more than big box. I recently bought a stove, frig and two window air conditioners from them. I researched the best make/model through reviews for them online before I even went to the store. I then went to Shaw's and asked if he had those models available. He said no, but looked them up and said he would have all of them in 2 days at a price that was right in line with what was suggested online for the stove and frig and lower for the air conditioners. I never left town and got what I wanted! They delivered and set up everything at no additional charge. A few years back, an upright freezer I bought from them just quit after about 6 months. I called them. Clarence said they would plug one in at the store right away. He said don't open my freezer. It was located in my garage. While I was at work, they brought the new freezer and switched out all of my food in the freezer to the new one. I got home and everything was good! No charge of any kind! It's been over 6 years, now, and never another freezer problem. Try to get service like that from a big box store! I would like to see sears or best buy do that for someone..............................

Shaws appliance is where we got ours. Our dryier is now thirteen years old. Did minor fixing on dryer. Now our wash machine we got about a week after Streator got hit with the tornado and have not had any problems with it. The wash machine prior was also from Shaws.

Still got two old Maytag wringer washers. Wouldn't give them up fer nothin. Is nothin better for dirty old work clothes. Can let em wash all day if you want and they will get things clean....or wash them till there is nothing left of the clothing....will dang near wash clothes till they dissolve.

Since there is no river in Chenoa, when ever I visited my grandparents, I had to drink their water. It's from an artisian well and it tasted bad to me. My Mom, who grew up there thought Streator water tasted horrible. Go figure.

Love Shaw's. Most of my appliances came from them. I am a fan of front load washers. We have had ours for over 10 years and no problems. They take less water and I swear my clothes are cleaner. They also spin so fast that the clothes are almost dry when they are done and take less time to dry.

This may sound like a horror story to some of you, but my Wife says it is not unusual for people to wash clothes by hand and cook with wood in her home country of the Philippines. Electric is expensive and not reliable. Brownouts/blackouts are frequent. And this is in the City, not just in the country provinces. I told her She is most likely one of the few Women her age in America to have cooked with wood cookstoves. We take a LOT of things for granted. The brief 2 days/3 days without drinkable water is but a small reminder. Many places in the World would love to have water as good as we had come right to their door. They have to walk for miles to go get dirty water they have to boil. Their kids are sick from it much of the time. We really do take a lot for granted. We are blessed in so many ways we really don't even realize. I couldn't believe the idiotic comments during the water boil. Had they been required to shut it off completely, I think there might've been rioting at the fire department for the free water!!

You couldn't PAY me enough to have another one of those lousy POS's in my house.

White Westinghouse for washer and dryer 9 yrs now so far so good. Magic chef for stove/oven we never use the self cleaning though......too many stories of them catching fire which doesn't hurt them but creates a lot of smoke lol

We don't have LG. It is over 10 years old and so far so good. Yea, that was more for others to know to stay away. We were told how LG was the top of the line and they never had any issues with them....... Okedokee, over 1K in repairs in 6 years. I had had enough. Back to the top loader that any dummy can work on.
