they have been hanging around from 2nd avenue to the Riverview cemetery area for a year. I truly believe they have a nest some where down there but haven't found it yet. they fly back and forth over my house during the summer. A gentlemen at Mcdonalds was talking about seeing an Eagle around Spring Lake area over the weekend. Must be migrating to our area then if more people are seeing them.

We had bats, at one time, in the attic. I just love bats. After tornado, they left the area, and finally came back a year or 2 ago. Usually at sundown, I would see them in the house. Finally go them out of the house, alive, as they are considered endangered.

I noticed where I live at, this past summer, few bats but was not sure the summer prior to last year due to I did not live in the same spot. But on occasions have gone fishing at Marilla and notice bats in that area. But really don't pay that much attention other areas, alot like I should.

speaking of bats I found this article in the times press.
LA SALLE — Dan and Sharon Peterson will educate and entertain with facts about bat species in the "Incredible Bats" program at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 12, at La Salle Public Library, 305 Marquette St. Using an interactive, multimedia presentation, the Petersons will introduce many bat species of the world, as well as focusing in more detail on species native to Illinois. Audience members can discover how bats echolocate, what kinds of foods they eat and contributions they make to the environment, to humans and the places bats inhabit.
Following the presentation, the Petersons will provide a unique opportunity for the audience by featuring live bats. Both the Egyptian fruit bat and an African straw-colored fruit bat will provide opportunities for the audience to learn more about these bats, and for many audience members, provide a surprising hands-on experience with these fantastic night animals.
This program is free and public and is made possible through the generosity of District 122 La Salle Schools in partnership with the library. For more information, call the library at 815-223-2341.

I, called to see what to do, and was told they had to be kept alive. So, I had a bat person come and find them, for sure, and waiting until sundown, every noc, to get them out of the house. It was an adventure for sure. Hubby was no help. lolololol Not sure where they house now, but they are hear again, and that is a good thing.
