I had a hummingbird moth working petunias before sun-up the other day. Regular hummingbirds everywhere.
Purchased some of those new hot pepper cylinder seed blocks...squirrels don't like the hot pepper, birds can't taste it!

I have plenty of hummingbirds also. most of the other birds have moved on but have a few blue jays eating peanuts. the suet cake hasn't been touched in 2 weeks.

My suet has lasted a good while. My feeders are doing okay, but I only have to top them off every week. There are a lor less rabbits around now too.

I had no idea eagles were affected by west niles virus. the mosquitoes can bite all the blackbirds and sparrows they want since I will be overridden by them soon as the temps drop.

I had a lonely hummingbird today. not much else is eating at the feeders now. even the squirrels are avoiding the corn.
