Forgive me if this has been discussed previously, but we have a bird in our neighborhood that sounds like a phone ringing. People think I'm crazy. Any ideas of what it is?

Any ideas of what it is? there is a website where you can listen to different bird sounds. I posted it on SOL before but cant remember it right off. there are so many different birds in this area I cant imagine what bird would sound like that. I do know that the humming from hummingbirds is a wonderful sound...............

Walking out to Lady Lounge, across Rifleman deck, a gold finch landed within arms reach on coneflower. At same moment a hummingbird landed on minature hollyhock w/in arms reach. What a great moment. I actually stood motionless, to enjoy!!!!

When I first moved here, I was kicking back on the porch, watching the squirrels in the tree. I am still amazed at how much nature is "in town". Groundhogs, squirrels, deer, possums, raccoons, and snakes all "in town".

Don't forget rabbits. We have about three or 4 hanging around our yard all summer. (One has lived in our bushes for several years.) Also a chipmonk........and last of all, there is our house mouse. Just one.

Charlie was chasing her baby, the other day. Those are the groundhogs. Seems the deer, are laying up, in the back 40! Not many Rocket J Squirrels here, since neighbor cut huge tree. The bats and cicadas are out in force!!! Hopefully, the squirrels will come back.
