The schools better call off attendance, Monday and Tuesday, if that much is predicted. Depends on the wind, not much wind and there won't be an issue getting around. 30-40 MPH winds and 3" would snarl the roads.

NOAA weather is reporting this is a dangerous storm rocket. I don't think 3 inches would be considered a dangerous storm for us. it very well could miss us but I wouldn't bet against it since the chance of 4 plus inches shows us at 70 percent chance www.crh.noaa.gov/lot/?n=lot-outlooks

the way it looks there will be plenty of inches to remove no matter what track this storm decides to take unless it goes way south of us.

No one knows how much is to fall. lotnws updated weather story map shows 10-12" over Streator, and 12-15" just west and south of our area. Jerry Taft on ch7 news is showing way less here and putting the 6-9" way north along the I'll/Wisconsin state line.

Lotnws area forecast discussion update Is now forecasting 5" or less for areas along and south Of i80 due to low tracking further north pushing the higher amounts well north. our area Will start as rain mostly cutting down snow amounts.

I miss the old days when we would get a legitimate weather report without all the freaking drama that comes with it today.. The weather channel is the worst..

Let it snow. Shovel it, plow it, carry on. Been happening for years. Why worry?

Better safe than sorry. No big deal, imho. It is winter. It is cold. The winds bite, and the snow is pretty. Not a darn thing, we can do about it, but be prepared.

Why do people waste money washing their vehicles just before the storms arrive. and people are worried about this storm to the point they are loading up their grocery cart like they are going to be snowed in for a week or more. With today's snow remover equipment, you would be snowed in for a day.

I agree. It has been a pretty mild Winter here for snow. I have only used the blower once.

People just prepare incase this is big. And use the wait and see approach. I looked at the surrounding weather office's And they cannot agree with amounts. Anywhere from 2"- 12"+ amounts.
