Its on facebook now, Ive been listening to it on scanner since it started.
In this day and age someone has to be pretty desperate to rob a bank/credit union, with all the video surveillance you very rarely hear of anyone getting away with such a crime.

Its on facebook now, Ive been listening to it on scanner since it started. In this day and age someone has to be pretty desperate to rob a bank/credit union, with all the video surveillance you very rarely hear of anyone getting away with such a crime. How about the two mentioned in this Times article? Were they caught? Posted Jun 24, 2010Streator police Thursday released more information on a bank robbery Wednesday, including the suspect did not display a weapon, but implied he had one.
First National Bank, at the southeast corner of Main and Vermillion streets in downtown Streator, was held up at 9:31 a.m. Wednesday.
The robber was described as a white male about 30 years old, standing 6 feet tall with an athletic build, who was possibly wearing a fake beard and a collar-length wig. He was wearing a green John Deere baseball cap, large sunglasses, a tan long-sleeved work shirt, blue jeans and tan or light brown work boots.
Streator Police Lt. Robert Turner Sr. said the robber threatened a teller and demanded money. A weapon was not displayed, but was implied. After he was given money, he left on foot and was last seen heading northbound in the 100 block of North Vermillion Street. No one was hurt.
A canine search was conducted by an assisting Ottawa police canine, resulting in the recovery of what is believed to be the fake beard worn by the subject.
Anyone with information should call police at 815-672-3111. The police are looking for information from anyone who may have observed the bank robbery suspect in the vicinity of the 100 block of North Vermillion Street or the Ace Hardware parking lot vicinity or alley, where the person may have changed clothes and/or entered a car.
The last time a financial institution was robbed in Streator was Aug. 13, 2009, when Streator Community Credit Union was held up by a man who eluded arrest.

So then is it true what I just heard at the Post Office? That the robber came back to deposit money there in his account..and the clerk then had a name and address for the police.................WTH......brilliant, I swear! IF that is true, then that will probably end up on Letterman like the guy that was drunk, came home and called the police reporting that someone had stolen his garage door. Upon arrival the Streator Police found that his garage door was in the open position........HAHAHAHAHA!!!! Stupid criminals at their finest...........M
