Cadillac converters have I believe bronze inside them $250.00 a piece. or is it platinum? or both. I don't think any of them bring 250 bucks, 75-80 is about tops right now, many are 40 bucks and the aftermarket ones the muffler shop puts on to replace your OEN one isn't worth cutting off. Back a couple of years ago when Platinum was up, I know some of the foreign ones were bringing 140-150 ea. Hardly worth taking the chance of either getting busted, shot, or squished over.

Platinum Palladium and Rhodium are the three main precious metals used in them...

Yep probably would say the average price with a selection of mixed vehicles would be in the fifty dollar range.. Back before the bubble burst in 08 there were some standard cats around 2 bills but those days are gone...

I agree sniper, it wouldn't be worth the consequence. I was thinking way back in the early 90s they were worth around $250 so I assumed they were still high in price.

You mean to tell me that people jack up cars cut the catyllac converters off, jack the car down, put the tools back in the car, and nobody sees nothing? Sound pretty bogus to me.

No they typically look for SUV's and pickups with more ground clearance and just slide underneath with a battery powered sawzall and its gone in less than a couple of minutes.

And people that lives around the area, would of heard the saw zall. So either way, this situation, still sounds bogus.
