Funny how more money is the cure until you give it to them. I feel bad but will not vote in favor of this.

No one wants to raise taxes, but for school children to get an education..............well that is pretty important to their future and our town. The school board is responsible for hiring/firing and salaries. If you don't like the administration's salaries, it is understandable. Start w/ changing the school board.

This is being required of us by the state. They have told us we need to either make more cuts or increase revenue. I encourage everyone to vote no. This would increase your taxes by $250 if your home is worth 100K. We are about .2 years away from having the state come in and take the district over. If they would find st the level they are supposed to there would be no deficit.

Among the HIGHEST on a Per Capita Basis based on Property Values and Incomes. Sorry FOT when and ONLY WHEN the Board tells some of the Administration of the District to Seek New Employment will you see people willing to Vote for Tax Increases. Why are we saying that we have seen a School Closed Kids crammed into fewer classrooms yet we still see a Bloated Administration in the District that sucks close to 300 Grand a Year in Wages and Benefits combined for the 2 of them. We also see an Entire Building that could be closed and space found in another Open Building across the Street for said Administration saving MORE Money for the District and the Board Refuses to do Squat to trim the Fat at the top. The cuts the Admin and the Board make are designed in a way to always make it the MOST PAINFUL for the people they are supposed to be HELPING the KIDS not them. Do we really need 2 Supers in the SES do we Really have to have that BUILDING that is just for THEM. Do we really need to have all of that when the District is Bleeding Red Ink.
Hell I love to keep Saltwater Fish but right now I know my Budget situation and I know I can not afford to and EAT so I am not keeping them. Called it is time to make some Serious CUTS to the BUDGET that hammer cuts to the ADMINISTRATION SIDE of the Budget aka the people that are getting paid over 100K a year then when we are paying 250 Grand a Year for 2 people that is Wages and Benefits for the Supers and for the Principals it was 640 thousand for all of the School Admins So your telling the Taxpayers out of that close to 1 Million dollars a Year we payout in Wages and Benefits that the Board can NOT Come up with SOMEONE or 2 People that could be Let Go.
This District reminds me so much of what is Wrong with this City and why when my Mother passes on I am gone. No one can come up with a Budget that cuts Spending their Only Answer is to Raise Taxes. Boy this must be the ONLY Democratic Run City in all of La Salle County as all I see is Tax and Spend our Butts into Oblivion anymore. The Taxpayers in this CITY those that are left are BROKE we have NOTHING LEFT TO GIVE. Between the City and County Raping us for their 5% increase every Year plus what ever the Townships scream for let alone the City Sewer Fees we have 2 School Districts that do not know the Word NO when it comes to their Admins and Teachers. What are you trying to do become Ottawa and see who can spend more before the State takes you over.

Bottom line, we all hear the bullsh!t about it is for the children while it is the STAFF who reap the benefits. I don't know where in the heck people who support this work, but I'm above average and it is getting tighter and tighter on my budget, I can't IMAGINE what some normal folks are going thru. I will be voting no.

Sniper try being ME on a Fixed Income and trying to raise 3 kids with the only jobs in this town that your wife can get are Minimum wage. We are lucky if we with my SSDI and Dependent Benefits are going to get 36 Grand this year. Now the ONLY help we get from the State is the Medical card as I am Disabled. Beyond that we get JACK SQUAT. We have to pay all our rent Utilities Food and Transportation costs out of pocket. Do not ask me how I am able to do it some times but I make it. Yet all I hear from the City County and School Districts is we NEED MORE MONEY MORE MORE MORE. They over Spend by Millions and scream it is everyone but their OWN FAULT. Yet here they come Every Year giving out 5-6% raises to people that sure as hell are making way more than I bring home and they still want More. My COLA raise for this Year is a total of 36 Dollars for the Month. Yet there are teachers that are going to see a 1-2 THOUSAND Dollar Raise this year. See the difference in why PEOPLE ARE GETTING FED UP WITH THE SCHOOL BOARD AND THE TEACHERS UNIONS. They have bent the Taxpayers so far over anymore that we are starting to see through our OWN LEGS and we are NOT LIKING THE VIEW ANYMORE.

I can't see ANYONE voting yes. This is just part of the pattern for dying towns. Let's not increase the funding for education or any municipal services either for about 15 more years and see what happens. F**K those lazy GD teachers and those fat cat administrators. Let's get rid of the mayor and city council, too! Who needs schools and city administrators when you got a Taco Bell!? Let's keep our priorities straight...the Bears, betting, beer, wings, pizza, and TACO BELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
