Macho Man's death was not drug related, although he did have a prescription painkiller in his system, his cause of death was atherosclerotic heart disease. Owen Hart's death was not drug related, the man fell to his death during a pay per view event. His cause of death was internal bleeding due to blunt force trauma. Eddie Guerrero died as a result of acute heart failure due to underlying atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. British Bulldog suffered a heart attack. Although he did use steroids in the past, it caught up to him.
It's not just drug abuse that causes these deaths...Some die due to travel related incidents because of all the time on the road. Some have even died as a result of injuries suffered in the ring. Unfortunately, the least common way that wrestlers seem to be dying is due to old age. But you're right, the death rate is extremely high.

These contracts they supposedly sign , when something goes wrong during a match and the wrestler dies from a injury incurred by the other, does that wrestler get arrested and charged with murder or manslaughter or is the contract like a full diplomatic immunity where the wrestler walks away free? Or is the contract just a basic contract that prevents either wrestler from suing each other for whatever happens to them, yet can be charged for the death of the other?

Can you give an example of this I have followed wrestling fairly closely for quite a few years and can think of no incident where a performer caused the death of his opponent.

So do you think testing for steroids would be BAD? Obviously the long term effects are unhealthy for them. Should we really make them feel like they HAVE to do it just to make a living and gain their fame and fortune? Why not bring mandatory drug testing to the WWE/professional wrestling? It would put them all back on a level playing field, a HEALTHIER one at that. they test for steroids but there is a loophole most of the wrestlers use to still abuse steroids. if the wrestlers get a doctors prescription for steroids because of low testosterone levels they are allowed to use them MM. according to the WWE its a very hard thing to enforce if they have a prescription for them.
