Just wondering what thoughts any of you might have for a blue ray disc home theater system, recommendations that is? Without going to Consumer Reports to read up on, I thought that I would post this thread hearing back from you consumers on this board... as to what recommendations / pros and cons / make model........etc........that any of you might have to offer. I get totally discombobulated when it comes to major electronic purchases, and this is for a Christmas gift, and of course I know absolutely nothing about. Thanks for any help here..................... M

Might as well, since Tim seems to be making sure that Streator doesn't have a real movie theatre.

I like the old receivers also, I actually have Atlantic Tech rear Speakers, Yamaha Front Yamaha Center and a Velodyne VA 810 which is a 8" front firing and a 10" bottom firing, powered Sub-Woofer sitting waiting to be used, tried to sell but nobody was interested, this was all high end equipment, ran by a Yamaha Receiver but receiver dumped and never replaced, but one day one day. LOL
