I love this time of year. Leaves changing colors, cool crisp nights, good sleeping weather, football. Just don't like the fact winter is around the corner.

The trees are beautiful right now! Some very vibrant oranges and reds going on.
I love each change of season. I cant imagine living anywhere that didn't have a change of 4 seasons. To never wake up to a blanket of pristine white fluffy snow again would be sadly missed.

Winter is hard for some folks, but I'm a different cut I guess. I'm kind of an Irish Viking with a German twist. The more winter, the better!

It came early and stayed late......a little too much of a good thing as far am concerned Last winter was more like the norm. The last 25 years has been a joke for the most part. People need to move south now before it hits! lol

We didn't have measurable snow until late December January last winter. remember the tornado on November 17th last year that was heading to streator? Just lucky the tornado made a right turn when it got to long point ,and not continue it's track to streator.
Cause if it would have stayed on track the complete s/e half of streator would have been hit.

Depends on who has to do the raking, dive. Lol We have two BIG trees in front and our yard was just covered w/ wet leafs until yesterday afternoon. Then a group of neighborhood kids came over and raked our yard. They stuffed the leafs in orange "pumpkin" bags and also had a kit to make a spider. They left us three bags to go in front. I wanted to go out so bad and supervise, but it would just ruin their fun. We had 4 to 6 kids , all still in grade school.

Fall is my ultimate favorite season, hands down. Has anyone been over to Starved Rock to walk the trails though? We've been wanting to do this, but every weekend that we do get that chance to it's been pretty crappy out. M
