Not according to Matt on www.firsthandweather.comHe makes predictions, but also says he'll "Tweek" them, later. He uses > one model too.

I'll wait and see what the catepillars fur looks like. Light fur a mild winter. A thick fur a harsh cold winter.
It must be a mild winter cause I have not seen any geese flying south yet.
