Yep, this is one time we will be in full agreement.
I was 21 before I shot an Uzi on full auto, and trust me, it isn't easy to control as an adult.
The one I feel sorry for is the little girl, she will be scarred for life.

He was just one of the instructors there. And their limit is 8 yrs old. This wasn't a one time thing. I didn't read your link, because i posted this on my fb this morning. Does this link tell about the 8 y/o boy that shot himself in the head last year from the recoil? I think that one was in jersey. SMDH

This link doesn't go into much. This place is called BULLETS N BURGERS, at Last stop range. This couple was on their way to Vegas, on vacation. They stopped at BULLETS AND BURGERS, which advertises the experience of shooting automatic guns. It's NOT a gun safety class. While they may offer those, I didn't see where that was their focus. They offer the experience of shooting an Uzi. It's a roadside tourist spot. Get a burger, shoot an Uzi. And the owner gave an interview defending their safety record, and that they follow all gun safety laws and recommendations. I bet these parents assumed there'd be a LITTLE more instruction prior to her holding, then shooting this. Her only prior instruction was they had her fire a 9mm first. You can hear her scream as the video ends. Bet she's enjoying that Vegas vacation.

Do any of you, think the parents should be charged w/ anything? Child endangerment, manslaughter? ? Just asking. That poor poor child. And this was NO accident, imho.

No I don't think the parents should be charged, however the instructor got His punishment for being stupid, He should of known not to put the gun on full Auto and knowing how much kick it would have with this child! I say time spent, He done His time.

Tosh, how is it no accident? Did the child intend to murder the instructor? It is unfortunate all the way around. As a parent I would have assumed they would give a child a gun they could handle or show the family beforehand how the gun works and then let parents decide if child should use it.

Alright, there are (2) things that could of prevented this: (1) stupid instructor letting the child shoot the gun (ONLY) on regular mode. (2) The parents not letting the child even go there. #A #B OR ALL THE ABOVE? I pick #A

Again, this was only one of the instructors employed there. He was following procedure in allowing her to fire automatic. That's what this place sells. The package. Stop for a burger, Come in, shoot an Uzi, etc. He was just one instructor, that did this every day. My point, these weren't the first parents to pass through and stop for a burger and let their mini-me shoot an Uzi for the photo op/thrill. And this ISN'T the only place doing it. And its NOT the first death. The little 8 year old boy that couldn't handle the recoil shot himself in the head.
I don't think anyone should be charged. I do think these places should have better regs. Like, a LONGER class before you're allowed to even handle the gun. It shouldn't be by the seat of your pants training.

Also, I don't know if the ops link mentions this, but in the owners interview, he said...the instructors are prepared for this. If shooter is right handed, instructor uses right hand to slap the gun down if shooter looses control. If left handed, stands to left. (Not an exact quote, but d**n close) so, this instructor apparently wasn't fast enough in his slap down. Wonder how many of the instructors decided to call it a day? Bet none of them. Bet they all stayed and are defending the place, and that everyone has the right to shoot a gun.
