from what I have gathered from the police and his partner in crime he was violent. the policeman was hurt from the struggle in the car also. some of the eye witnesses have conflicting stories of what they saw happen. some of the people of that town are using the shooting as a way to rob and loot stores in their own neighborhoods. he was video taped in that store so its proof that they had the right person that committed the crime.

he had a criminal record but because he was not classified as an adult the court records are sealed from public eyes.

Make you wonder if this is an isolated event in St. Louis or maybe a harbinger of things to come from other cities a la Watts.

I think the cop that shot the kid stopped him for walking in the street. The cop was unaware of the store being robbed or the kids involvement when he shot at him.

Sure, He stole some cigars, but they shot Him like a dog! in the back even, then they did not even cover Him up.....inhuman in my opinion. ten minutes later they finally covered Him up......unreal.

Coronors report says he was NOT shot in the back! As he was pulling away from the stop/street incident, he heard the robbery report & backed up, remembering the Op had cigars on him. ..... There is much more to this than peeps are saying. It'll all come out after the inv.

I think the cop that shot the kid stopped him for walking in the street. The cop was unaware of the store being robbed or the kids involvement when he shot at him. There's a witness that was caught on tape, immediately after the shooting, telling his neighbor, who responded to the gunshots, what happened. In the video, Brown is laying on the ground. The witness says that the cop attempted to get out of his vehicle, and Brown shoved him back in, and leaned in, struggling for the cops gun. Brown at some point walked away. The cop got out, told him to freeze, and brown turned around and rushed him. States the cop fired, (most likely the arm wounds) Brown kept coming, while cop kept firing. So, yeah, guess he shot him like the dog/thug he was. And that would be my opinion if he was lily white, blond haired, and blue eyed. A thug is a thug, no matter what color.

Chevy, you need to pay more attention to verifiable facts, and less to people spewing untruths. You did that on the stabbing thread, to.

I heard the same, hc. The Op is well over 6 ft. & he didn't stop after several shots in the arm, then the cop had to take "centered" shots to stop him, in self-defense.

Unfortunately you have the family's attorneys, a flunkie coroner they hauled in from NY, Sharpton, Jackson, Holder, and Obama all throwing fuel on this fire. Let the investigation take it's course, let's see all the facts they can produce and toxicology and coroner reports plus testimony from the convenience store clerk that was strong armed before drawing any conclusions.
Common sense will tell you the cop didn't report to duty that morning with the intent of blowing somebody away. His life is basically ruined, it is a safe bet there is a price on his head if not his families' also.

And, northsider, even if that would've been true, BROWN knew he had just robbed the store, and committed assault on the owner. If you listen to a lot of the 'eyewitness' babble, they usually start with, I heard gunshots, and then go on to tell that he had his hands up. If they were alerted by the gunshots, how do they know where his hands were before he was shot? Again, pay attention to what you hear.

That is the problem using a 9 mm., they don't have the takedown power a larger caliber does. A .45 might have changed the situation. Any book I have read on home defense highly recommends using a handgun with at least a caliber that begins in 4 for defense, or a 12 gauge. Best bet....one of each.
