Amazingly some gov. employees retire early enough to go out in the private sector and get a job in order to collect social security one day on top of the gov. pension..

As some have pointed out there is little that can be done about past poor contracts that our state has entered into, but the future can be altered greatly if the citizens choose to ask for change at the voting booths!

Yes you are having a hard time comprehending it seems, cleaning house means to get all the corrupted ones out of office, and the offices are filled with them. and make sure the new ones are honest as well

I'll tell ya one thing I think is total BS....its the fact that the public pension benefits is covered and guaranteed by the ILLINOIS CONSTITUTION. That is where the Illinois citizen has a rope around their neck. No ones retirement benefits should be covered and guaranteed under the constitution. That just ain't right and it is not what the constitution is designed for....well, except for maybe Illinois which is the #4 most crooked state in the union. I guess you could call that the union of the union! And when talking of unions, the sad truth is that unions are nothing more than another big business siphoning off millions and billions of dollars out of the working mans paycheck.
