masked, do not lose sight of the tornado looters and murdering carjackers, the potential is still real, in your fantasy world. I thought some of the looters were out of towners rather than locals. The carjacker maybe too. Was the carjacker a 'Streatorite'? No, he wasn't. He's also out of jail, for time served for Pattys death, and back in again twice already, for 2 other crimes. One was in LaSalle, and i forget where the other one was. Hell, as we speak, he's probably back in for yet another, somewhere else.

Last night we had corn from the house on Bluff & it was wonderful, so sweet & tasty !! I'm so glad we were late getting out to Lentmans yesterday, otherwise we may not have tried it:) Today we got Lentmans so we will have that tonight!!! Its the time, of the season, hmmm, hmmm, hmmmm, when the corn is set....... Mr R would eat it 3 times a day if he thought we had enough time in our busy old people lives :-)

Most sweet corn is good no matter who you buy it from locally. I try to buy from Lentmans because the money goes to the kids, but have bought it from other places and just love the fresh picked goodness.

I buy it from lentmans as well as all the other locally grown corn. I usually go through a lot of sweet corn during the summer.

Three ears out of thirteen, had worms enjoying the first 1 1/2" of the corn, that we bought yesterday. A little butter and the worms tasted fine.

Wondering if the worms are bad this year...we bought corn from somewhere else and about 10/12 ears had the worms...figured it must be good corn if the worms were enjoying it so much...turned out not bad but not as good as Lentmans
