Here we go. It was inevitable. The politicians and bureaucrats are stumping hard for a hike in the gas tax because the lowlifes have pi$$ed away the money on a lot of stuff that doesn't benefit the roads.
Stuff like paved bicycle paths and even hiking trails, just to name a couple. I'm sure there are many, many more examples if one wanted to do some digging. The highway fund is just that, funds for HIGHWAYS THAT PEOPLE DRIVE CARS ON!!
I'm completely fed up with these imbeciles pissing money away year after year and then forcing more of a tax burden on John Q. Public.
Let's all just set back and let our money be sucked from our pockets. It seems no one really cares.

A Toyota Carolla ECO car gets about 47 mpg & can get more,(up to 63 mpg) depending upon how it's driven.

I am thinking one of those old Diesels that you can convert to burn French fry grease is looking better and better all the time. Maybe one of the old old VW trucklets. Those stupid things still sell for way more than they should. They made them back in the 70's and were based on the old rabbit car design. They were popular out west and one guy over by Flanagan had several of them they bombed around in. It wouldn't mater what the car is fueled on, they will raise the price of water if the vehicle used it.

They decided that those doggone little fuel efficient cars and hybrids were cheating the system and need to pay more. Yes, because a 2600 Lb toy car tears up the infrastructure like a 7,000 SUV does......... This is why Politicians should be changed as often as diapers, they stink equally as fast.

It benefits the politicians pocket book for the gas to keep going higher and higher. And in reality, us citizens don't have much of a choice but to put up with it. Only because us citizen are not all going to take a stand together in order to put a stop to everything going up. People have to go to work, or to the doctors and go shopping. In order to do all that, we need to put fuel into the tanks which in turn puts money into the governments pockets. I don't like it any more than the next person, but unless some one comes up with a solution, and acts on it, than do it.

Yep, the only answer is for all of us to just stay quiet because there is nothing we can collectively so about it.
The politicians and bureaucrats will take care of us and make sure the best interests of us all are addressed and provided for. All we have to do is continue to pony up the money for them to make sure our best interests are tended to.
Ahhhhhhh, that's better.

You must be all in about Anarchy, "RIGHT"? You get to decide on who passes your AMERICAN TEST, "RIGHT"? Sniper, don't even pretend you know anything about the U.S. Constitution. I'm not afraid of our U.S. Government taking away my Constitutional rights. I'm worried about "Militia Movements", who believe, those who have "impure thoughts" should enjoy the the "rope". Sorry Sniper, I don't "Goose Step" to anyone's tune. Ah, He!!, you probable just had a bad day BOWING TO YOU NANNY CORPORATION MARCHING ORDERS", eh? g

There seems to be such great differences in the price of gas lately as one drives about in LaSalle county. Aside from taxes, I am caused to wonder about the reasons for as much as .20 differences for the same type of fuel from one place to another.
