BlueStar & Toshiko, thanks for the information. I hope to drive out there this week. And on another note, when a day ago I woke "granny style" in the wee hours of the day I found myself (hot flashes & spiked testosterone levels maybe,) in a veritable "pi - - ing" contest with the spammers & I must tell you all, I was MORE than appreciative of the MaskedMarvel. My eyes were crossing, my fingers numb ( using my phone to rsvp) & I was getting sleepy, when into the fray rode MM on a mighty white steed & this old lady thanked God for nimble young minds & fingers!! And I went back to sleep. Thank you MaskedOne:-) ........High Ho Silver!!!!!......... Away!!!!!!!!!

On top of the new smarty pants member that is on here now. My family was at the Katchewan Campground this past week. Enjoyed ourselves. My daughter enjoyed the swimming, son enjoyed the fishing, and my wife and I enjoyed watching the kids. The person that owns the place has bought a positive environment to the place. The only complaint I had of the place is that they had a guy and lady that are homeless out there and was asking others that was camping for food and money. The one night we did give them a hamburger but they was wanting more. The owner did talk to these people a couple of times while we was there to leave the campers alone. And also told them they have to be out by Tuesday. And have three dogs and one really don't look healthy. But other than that, I thought the campground is nice.

M&M - I guess I am just ignorant then because I do appreciate the efforts of anyone who bumps the posts up over the spam. I just don't see your problem with this at all. I agree lucky. And to be so uncouth in the manner of stating that she has a problem just shows a person's true character. I thought the masked man moniker was kind of cute...lone ranger in to save the day...lol

Re the homeless couple. It's unfortunate that they apparently took advantage of the owners kindness in allowing them to stay.

What county dumbacrat party should we call, Livingston or LaSalle? They (homeless) are a possible 2 votes for the dumbacrat party, in turn, they (homeless) can receive free aid, phone, and medical coverage. Were they white trash, n*ggers or illegals? I forgot, the Illinois dumbacrats provide for all, no drivers license required, if in question. They then can contact Hussein O. and get more taxpayer entitlements.

It was a white, 60 year old female about 5 foot four inches tall. And a 5 foot six inches, white male that is in mid to late fourties at my best educated guess. I made the comment about at least pick up cans to recycle and get cash for food to the guy, and he made excuses for why he was unable to do that. From what I saw, the new owner of the campground was being taking advantage from these homeless people. The new owner at the campground just seems like a very nice guy. The campground is South of Streator, so it would be Livingston County. I don't believe that these people even had the state funded cell phone. The lady claims that she receives 800 and some odd dollars in disability a month. I don't really know if she actually does or not.

I stopped out there today. It brings back memories from decades ago. Many people out enjoying the day and the place. Good old fashioned fun of swimming or fishing with a family atmosphere.
