What is the big secret? This is the era of media technology and freedom of information accessibility. One cannot suppress the smart phone and the freedom of speech .

People, you all need to pay attention when crossing the tracks. This keeps happening ,they will invoke a speed limit for trains in this town to 10mph just to avoid future accidents, which will make more people drive out of their way to the viaduct and the underpass just to get around the trains.
Use common sense and be alert and watch for trains when crossing the tracks. And DON'T PLAY BEAT THE TRAIN. Cause you will lose.

If I had to guess I'd say it was a double train crossing and the person didn't wait for the 2nd train to clear. In any event, it's sad , so sad and tragic.

Reading on fb and people are saying the person is alive still. So hopefully this person is not in real bad shape and can make a complete full recovery from this.

I heard that it was a 20 yr. old kid on a bike that was struck. I guess. there were 2 kids on bikes that had just been in Circle K East..and had left heading west on Main. One made it through the crossing, and the other one didn't. I heard that he was alive when the ambulance transported him...what the outcome is though...I don't know. God be with this young man, and of course his family and friends. Its not only sad for victims in these incidents...but also for the people maning these trains. I know that whenever any accident like this happens...they yank the engineer, and deprogram him, then send a replacement in to run the train. I know that the steel train was also disabled after this accident..and sat running for almost 5 hours. Yes this is a very sad tragedy...but seriously...people use common sense, as ROCKET stated!! Sad...truly sad. Prayers out to all involved. M
