I know what the signs say, but the footprints say otherwise. LOL, they did try though.

The footprints could be from the person that set up the barricades. I doubt they just magically appeared.

How about the barricades were set up weeks ago when bricks fell and were rearranged a couple of days before the snow. I wonder if video would tell if your comment or mine should be moved to the cesspool thread?

I didn't know when they were set up. Thanks for the smart azz correction. Would you like me to pull up some of your comments to me over the past few months and see how much respect you have shown me? After the way that you have talked to me with your "maybes", and you see a picture posted by me of barricades with snow on them and footprints going straight through and you are surprised at a smart reply to your comment? Maybe.... Maybe.... Maybe pigs have started flying and they set the barricades there after it snowed? That would explain there being no footprints of anyone setting them up. Maybe the snow on the barricades is left over from the flight. What elevation do they fly at? Isn't it great that the pigs flew in such bad weather to close off the sidewalk to make it safe? I wouldn't be surprised in some of the drunks have seen some of the pigs flying around downtown.

people hv no clue why the barricades r there. they just see the sidrwalk is fine and walk across. Maybe they nedd a sign reading 'falling bricks'!? Then maybe people would realize they could be n danger.

Does anyone have any contact information for the flying pigs? Maybe they will come back with a falling bricks sign.
Since we have so many buildings falling apart, maybe the City could replace all of those worthless, customer parking sign/decorations that they wasted tax payer money on with no ordinance to back them, with falling brick signs.

Maybe the property owner could have better maintained their building before bricks fall from the sky hoping flying pigs will catch them?

Maybe the property owner could have better maintained their building before bricks fall from the sky hoping flying pigs will catch them? maybe the property owners are working on it - wanna help? ? Isn't it a shame that downtown economic conditions are so bad that buildings don't generate enough revenue to just hire the work to be done by professionals? Instead, people look to others for help with no knowledge of their experience in that type of work. Unless of course you know Tonija and know of her experience and how nice she can make a building look, if that is the case, my apologies. I would think that that kind of work would take engineering and skilled craftsmen. It would be a shame to see the whole facade fall off the buildings if there is not proper support for those beams below the windows.

Maybe the "contractor" in the white van with his phone number hand written on the back window can help. He has a big cardboard sign that he displays at his job sites that says "We fix brick buildings". I've seen him using latex caulk to fill grout joints and roof tar to patch over missing bricks. He slaps some paint on them to make them look decent, but we'll see what happens years later.

The condition of our downtown is my business because I have invested so much into it. Being able to walk down Main Street without having to worry about a building falling on you, is pretty detrimental to having a business in the area. Who ever said that anyone said that the owners were asking for help? No, they didn't ask me to help them. You were the one asking people if they want to help.

It is a shame that downtown building owners look to people with no knowledge or experience in a certain type of business to work on their buildings. Sounds like a certain business venture we keep hearing about.
