No need to do it for their benefit either. I have enough room in my vehicle and the three of us (Oldtimer, Job and me) will just make a day of it. Anonymous, Can we drink daiquiris? Yes as long as they are strawberry.

Driving while drinking is illegal and not socially accepted. Many people lose their lives every year as a result of drinking and driving, that is why we have laws against it. Please take a moment to think about how you would feel if you lost a family member to someone who was drinking, or how you would feel if you took the life of someone's family members because you were drinking and driving. What would you say to them? Although some club members may feel that they are above the laws here and are comfortable promoting driving around while drinking on a public forum, please be responsible and do not do what others here might think is acceptable. The lives you save could even be those of your own family.

They talked about daquiries and putting down plastic on the linoleum or wood floors. I haven't seen a car that had linoleum or wood floors recently.

We were talking about annonymous going around to look at the vacant buildgins to try to keep me from posting them here and on FB. anonymous said there is enough room in the vehicle for oldtimer and job and they will all look at them together, making a day of it.

Yes and in typical Kyle fashion you posted a picture that is 7 years old knowing full well that a lot of the people on that page don't and haven't lived here for years, once again a half-truth! Oh yes, I am so deceptive. I must be the only one that has ever posted an old picture there? How is it that I would know full well that a lot of people there haven't lived here for years? Do you really expect a "transplant" to know the people that haven't lived here for years, or should I just expect that because so many good people have left Streator that everyone on Facebook has moved? Since one of the P&Z commissioners did say the other night that many people here don't even have the internet, I guess I shouldn't expect that there won't be many people from Streator on there until this internet thing catches on. You might have also noticed that I did go back and disclose when the picture was taken. Did you see over there where someone spewed some crap about my building being built by Lyston Howe. When I asked for more information because it didn't seem possible from the information that I had, he wouldn't even respond back. When I was doing some research on it I found a Times article that had the same name as the person that posted the crap, talking about Lyston Howe too. The article said that this person was the president of the historical society. I'm pretty confident that my building was not built by Lyston Howe. If he is going to use his position to spread historical information and then not even respond to discrepancies, I have to wonder if he is even interested in preserving the history of Streator or if he is trying to re-write it. It kind of reminds me of some of the posters here. Wasn't it daviddr that was on the library board and came on here talking about all the new books being available, but the people that use the library said that they weren't available. Rather than stand behind what he says, he just disappeared and left the questions unanswered. Yes my posting of a seven year old picture on a page where no one posts old pictures and then standing by my post and answering the questions is terrible, isn't it?

That's exactly what I read, but I didn't read anywhere them saying they were all going to be riding around in the vehicle and drinking at the same time. That is just what you are a$$uming. You are correct dog. I also didn't read them saying that they would have a designated driver either. It all just reminds me of how many times I have looked out my window to see people stagger outside, get into their car, and swerve down the street. The night that I begged the officer to take some action against the out of towner that exposed himself to my family after staggering to his vehicle is a good example. He drove off shortly after the officer left. I called SPD again, but they didn't catch him. I had gone into the bar and asked how anyone could get served to that point, but the owner was red faced, slurring, and kept repeating himself, that when he tried cutting the person off, he was threatened with violence. I guess that is the point that they keep serving as opposed to calling SPD. Shortly after that, when he was leaving I did call SPD again. There was another night when a show had just gotten out and a guy came out of the bar with a full glass and was being really loud, he got into his car and drove one handed by the Majestic with a large group of junior high aged kids coming out. The driver kept his eyes glued to his cup, making sure not to spill any. I could list more examples, but I wouldn't want to bore you. I noticed watching the police reports in the paper that there is rarely ever any DUI arrests here. There seems to be more Streator DUI arrests listed in the Sheriff's report than Streator's listings. I don't think that drinking and driving is a good for our community, maybe it is because I am a transplant that I have a hard time with it being so acceptable here?

When you coming up this way again? I think it's been more like 22 years. LOL I remember you broke the blender on your way over here and had to buy a new one. I'll put plastic down or we can sit on the patio this time. I was thinking about coming up there over Spring break. There's a young man in PR that wants us to visit, too. You need to look him up.

What were you doing oldtimer, making daiquiris while you were driving? Anonymous, you don't even live here and are a transplant too? Welcome to the group. Do people where you live hold it against you and not give you respect because you were not born and raised there? Did you at least live in Streator at one time? Yes, a lot of others have left too, those number keep growing.

You speak of respect, that is funny. Respect is earned, and any respect you may have earned or good you did when you first came here has been lost by your constant hate filled tirades.
In this thread alone you have managed to disrespect the city council, the mayor, the historical society, the police department, a library board member and another business owner, yet you speak of respect.
As for the transplant comment, the one thing I love about Streator is how welcoming it is to everybody and you were welcomed with open arms when you arrived, but you have worn that welcome out by the constant put downs and town bashing.
