God I sure hope my vehicle starts Monday so I can get to work. -45 below zero wind chill temps expected. Got no choice ,the boss says report to work ,you have to report to work regardless of what the weather is.

Did a check list, and I filled my tank up with gas ,a bottle of heat, filled the radiator with antifreeze. Then I filled the rider up to get ready to plow the drive open tomorrow, and filled my heater up with kerosene ready to turn on early Monday morning 2hrs before I have to go to work to heat up the garage and get it warm enough for my vehicle to start. And will be putting the battery charger on the battery sunday night to keep the battery fully charged for Monday morning.

Yeah we can live off pb&j sandwiches for a few days. Never cared for milk.Rarely drink milk. Healthbeat news the other day says scientist now says having too much calcium raises the risk of heart attacks.

Beer does tend to get colder as you drink it in this kind of weather it eliminates the need for an insulated holder

back in the day, we did the 100 watt light bulb deal
also had small kerosene heaters that hung under the hood

it doesn't take much to get the temps up high enough to keep the battery warm and oil thinner. even throwing a blanket over the hood helps keep some heat in if you have run the engine before bed.

I'm warming the house up before the temps crash later, maybe -10 tonight with a bad wind will exceed the indoor design temp of 70
