Wow, what a noc. I believe, I witnessed a house search last noc. Alot of commotion in the neighborhood. Guys in black all over the place, dogs going crazy, flashlights up and down the street! When I asked what was wrong, I got...'everything is alright now'

There were cars everywhere. Down at south side, and at James street Rec. Then some ppl walked by and one of the men in black, yelled, I have a search warrent for you, too. I am not sure if they did or did not, but they were def. looking for something,up and down the street, until after 11.

Never heard a thing last night. I was exhausted and was in a deep sleep. However I believe what they were looking for was illegal guns. Cause Chicago police was doing the samething awhile back that was on the news conducting door to door searches for guns.
And there were 2 other cities out east that police were doing this too.
Technically ,they started gun confiscation .

If it was a drug raid, why would they tell you they have a warrant to search your place if they knew what house they were raiding? Warrants do have the address on them of what house they are searching.
I don't see why they would need to have multiple warrants to search peoples homes to find drug houses. They should know what house it is,by keeping it under surveillance .
"Then some ppl walked by and one of the men in black, yelled, I have a search warrent for you, too"
^^^^^^^^^^this doesn't sound like a drug raid. Sounds like illegal firearms raid.

The police need to start shutting these drug places down, and quit letting them continue to run. Any landlord that rents to people who have a criminal record should lose that house completely ,not temporarily. If the landlords want the income from renting out their homes, they will do a background check on everyone that wants to rent a place. If not, then you deserve to lose your property for condoning criminal activity.

Rocket, that banning of citizen with a criminal record, would never pass, the fair housing laws. Section 8 people would declare that their rights were violated. Be real and think about the laws.

So the landlord who gives someone a second chance deserves to lose his livelihood because he rented to someone with a record? So in your infinite wisdom or lack there of you are saying the man who has hit hard times and is charged with a crime but is getting his crap together doesn't deserve a place to live? So where do you propose these people live? On the streets, so they have no way of getting a job and supporting themselves and their families and possibly becoming upstanding contributing members of society? I will give you not everyone is converted by the system but some are and they deserve a chance to better themselves and put their past in the past and leave it there.
