It's not a far stretch to think that the people behind JFK's may have been involved with RFK's as well. I have always been taken back that these killings, along w/ Dr King, were never solved as far as I am concerned.

I'll watch it later Dave, off to Springfield to watch JJ Cravatta play. I've been thru Hebron so many times. I took a tour of the school a couple years ago and it was really great. People in the school were nice and I got many pictures. I hope some of them are going to be in the Hall of Fame that's being located in Pontiac. Going thru Hebron on rte. 173 there's about 6 or 7 utility poles that have backboards and rims mounted on them, but to high to shoot at.

Basketball: He was born and raised in Indiana. 3 time All-State, one HS championship. He helped lead the Boilermakers to the National Championship. He was named All-Big Ten and All-Midwestern. While at Purdue, and he was the first player ever to be named a three-time consensus All-American. He became an HS English teacher and basketball coach wile playing part time in the pros. His high school coaching record over 11 years, two at Dayton and nine at Central, was 218–42. He led Indiana State to the conference title. We know him for none of these feats. After serving in WWII, He and is wife moved West...and the rest is history.

My God Dave, you threw so many hints out there my wife could have answered that question. His book about life and how he lived is a real good read. He lived in a small apartment and wasn't paid a huge salary at UCLA. What he was being paid would have put him in the soup lines today.

Name at least four players that played multiple professional sports in the same year since 1950.

John Wooden is right Willy. I thought you would be all over this. I tried to hide the UCLA part, but his record in Indiana really was amazing. I read a great book on Wooden by Seth Davis called Wooden: A Coach's Life. I saw a short speech by Wooden last night on the Blu-ray. He came within a few months of being 100 years old. Wooden is so much more than basketball. He was a teacher first and always. My buddy ran into Bill Davis in Centraila. Like Wooden, he knew how the next game was going to go by PREPERATION AND PRACTICE. All they had to do was follow their game plan on who plays when and for how long.

Bo Jackson, MJ and Deon Sanders all played baseball I think. Danny Ainge also play baseball and basketball.

Not bad Dave, I'd forgotten about Sanders. I wouldn't enen count MJ cause in my opinion he only got his chance to do the baseball thing was because who he was. But he did do it. I was also thinking Dave DeBusschere and Gene Connely. But other than MJ the others did it at a very high level.
Interesting you bring up Bill Davies. I learned many things from him. One very trivial thing but so important to me was this. He said I can onlly coach you Monday thru Thursday. It's to late to try to do it on game night. He sat on the bench dukring the games as did all the coaches of there time. I just hate it to see these coaches running up and down the sidelines and being a total distraction to the players and to the people who have paid good money to see the game. If the kids are spending time listening to the coach how can they be concentrating on the game? I'm a big Indiana fan, and can't stand Crean. He parades the sidelines all decked out to the nines and the camera seems to always find him. I wish they'd fire him just because of that. lol It won't happen if he wins, but I'm not certain how thick the ice is where he's walking.

Well he and Indiana just beat Larry Brown's SMU Mustangs. Gonzaga beat them earlier in the week. Larry decided to play tougher teams this year. All the home games were sold out before the season started. Moody Col. NOW holds over 7000 ppl. It was just remodeled.

TV trivia? This show NBC 1966-69. It was canceled after three seasons for poor ratings. It became a cult classic in reruns during the 1970s and spawned five additional TV series, 12 films, books, games, toys and many obsessions.
