D. B. Cooper and his famous skydive with $100,000. Never heard from again. Some kid found a little bit of the money washed up years ago. It has left more questions than answers. Great question MM. Did D. B. get away w/it? I have always wondered.

I forgot about the Astros. J. R. was really at the top of his game when he had the stroke. Never heard of Wilson. Living in Dallas, I saw a lot of the great Nolan Ryan. When he came to my Rangers, he had finally taught himself to pitch and not just throw flames. He had mastered 4 or 5 pitches for strikes by then. Love the Ventura fight! Pudge was trying to separate them, while Nolan whuppin up on poor Robin. Then he became the Prez of the Rangers and helped them to WS.

XXXXXX XXXXX one of the only actresses to win an Oscar, Grammy, and Golden Globe awards. A famous quote of hers: "Sex appeal is fifty percent what you've got and fifty percent what people think you've got."

This one is hard and I don't know when and if Sophia Loren ever won a grammy. Can't remember her being a singer. But she's still pretty after all these years. She was really good in grumpier old men.

Who would give a 34 year old NFL QB with two back surguries a $160 million dollar contract? (This is more of a rant.)

When my old friend Ted Schmitz was coaching at Illinois State U., he said that the Cowboys had probably the most extensive scouting program in the NFL. They were always calling asking about ball players and sent all sorts of cowboy stuff, cowgirl calendars and stuff. They left no stone unturned. That was in the '70's. I think Jones turned a lot of folks off early. Isn't he the owner that didn't treat Landry very well?

My only encounter with "real" Football players was in Hot Springs, AR in the 1970's they were in town for the races, & they were Dallas Cowboys. Being young & silly I didn't realize I might want to remember their names, but I do recall that the sheer size of those young men was intimidating to me, BUT they behaved as gentlemen. I was less than well behaved as I made my disinterest in football easily understood. I'd left my interest in football back in my home town, when I graduated high school. Silly young woman that I was, I had no idea I'd have a passel of grandsons one day, who would have loved to look those guys up. Now I wish I'd written down their names.....
