Very interesting Dave. I hadn't remembered that Shelby was behind the Sunbeam as well. Yes, Dave very interesting. It made for an interesting read. Mr Shelby is truly a legend. Remember the guy named Smoky Yunick? He was quite the innovator too.

I saw this on the History channel. It was a Cushman motorcycle. One famous Cushman was the model 53, a military model from the World War II era. Designed to be dropped by parachute with Army Airborne troops,it became known as the Cushman Airborne. It was very popular in post WWII Europe as it was cheap and sturdy. Costs too much to have the USA ship it back to the States after the war was over.

Street sign says Main & Monroe so the truck is east bound. It would be the NW corner. It says Ford on the bumper.

It is a Meyers-Sherman Company truck that is probably carrying a FORDS product that they made. I would guess it is the "Twin Milker" for milking cows. Oh, in the back ground is the sign for Ford-Hopkins drug store. Another Ford like name on the pic in addition to the sign on the float and the bumper of the truck. Myers Sherman Co FORDS Electric Washer Washing Machine was a popular item. They used Diamond T trucks for all of the FORDS truck mounted products including the grindermill that MM referred to here.

I just passed away at age 93. I won an NBA Title with the Baltimore Bullets in 1948. I spent the next 60 years in basketball as a player, coach and owner. I lost thousands of games, but in 1971 at age 51, I scored the rare winning basket. Who am I?
