The Archbishop of NY was on CBC this morning.
I hope the Priests can start saying more than 2 Masses on Sunday. I'd like to see a Sunday 4 PM Mass in English.
Get more people to the church.

This Pope is trying to bring the church into the 21st century. First it seems like he is cleaning out the Vatican & the related bankiing and other non- church activities. Now he is willing to discuss married priests. (and maybe some day a woman priest?) I think he feels that there is a lot of changes that can be made without compromising the basic religious tenets of the church.

Priests were married way back, no big deal.

It wasn't until about 12 or 1300 A.D. that they were forbidden to marry. I think?

Boy I sure don't see this, they would have to change a lot of their beliefs Lev. 20:13: "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them." That's a passage out of their good book.

They should change their teachings since I would be willing to bet at least 75% of all Catholic priests are gay.

I would bet that more than one has broken his vows and had a liaison with at least one of his female parishioners through the years also....

I've been around them (closely) for the last 40 yrs. I stand by my estimation of around 75% being gay.

In the old days, we had a 5:30 AM Mass, 7:00 Mass; 8:15 Mass, about 10 :00 Mass and 12:00 AM Mass.
One Mass in mid morning was a high Mass.
WE had at least 6 Masses and 2 Priests. Today there are only 2 Priest but the Bishop only allows them to say 2 Masses. Cut out 75% of the Churches.
Think about this. They wonder why they have less Parishioners than the early days.
I still would like to see a Sunday afternoon Mass. Before Saturday Mass, they had Sunday afternoon Mass.

The RCC is in terrible shape in many ways, but will manage to survive in one form or another. Remember not to confuse the finger pointing at the moon... for the moon.

I'd say 50-60 percent are gay. The percentage depends on the diocese. Not all are monsters but there has been a lot of pederasty. IMO, the priests who have affairs with women get exposed because they aren't protected by a mafia. The lavender problem was growing before Vat II and worsened during the turmoil of the 60s as many straight priests left to get married.
