Chaotic! I don't know what it was like inside, but I do know that trying to the north end of town was near impossible when they were letting out. We tried going around the school and it was packed in each direction. If it was any indication of what was going on inside the school, Yikes!

It was ridiculous. We waited at the top of Renz Drive for 20 minutes in traffic. We were hoping that the people behind us a few cars didn't get rear ended. Utter chaos with 5th & 6th getting picked up at the same time 7th & 8th were being dropped off. Next year I hope they stagger the times a bit.
On a related note, the schools in our town need to pick a school supply list and keep to it. I have no less than 3 different lists for Northlawn. Who knows if we got everything or IF everything will even get used.

This chaotic mess was organized by an administration that is paid over $100,000 . The school board members should be ashamed of themselves for compensating a team of incompetents, they hired. Board members, give these people another raise and increase the deficit, and see, if that helps.

Logistical nightmare is more like it...Completely unorganized, clearly dangerous to both students and those who have to navigate the area...Much like the situation at Sherman school, I see numerous accidents because there is simply NO WAY that amount of traffic can be managed in such confined areas... Glad my kids are grown...

In the event of a school emergency, no police, fire or ambulances could get close to the school. WE need the state police and city police directing traffic. It was crazy. Why have school for 45 minutes anyway? ?

Sherman should have been the school closed, not Oakland Park.

Wouldn't it behoove us to have alternate start times for the kids? Younger kids first onto the older ones. Pretty sad, when so many are put in so much danger.

Why are kids on a bus route being driven to school anyway? If they qualify for bus service, they should be required to ride. This would cut down on the traffic. And the bus kids should leave first

If it makes you guys feel any better, the new parking lot out at woodland hasn't been a picnic either. Last year the elementary school had its own entrance at the back of the school. This year everybody goes into the main entrance at the front of the school. Trying to get my preschooler to the little gym in the back while having to wade through all the high school and Jr high kids trying to get to class is a nightmare. They still let parents pick up Pre-K at the back of the school so thank goodness for that.
