Last evening around 6 or so, I watched, not sure what the bird was, but they were swooping around, up and down, like dive bombers. The dragonflies were up there, too. I think they were mid air eating. It reminded me of those old WWI movies. Would they have been swallows? Pointy feathers,, reminded me of water birds. some had yellow bottoms, some grey. Did not make a sound. It was truly magnificent. BIRDS, came to mind, too.

When I used to cut the grass at the waste water treatment plant the swallows would be all over snatching the bugs as they came out of the grass. Scared the crap out of me as I worried they would hit me.

When hubby worked at Plymoth Tube, swallow entered the Transco chimney each evening, then come out again in the am. It was amazing. I have seen that happen, too. They are cool to watch.

I have a cat that has ticked them off..When they're out and see her in the open..They will start diving at her until she runs and hides........

I have my problem with the hummingbirds. they don't like me standing too close to the feeders or they dive bomb me.
