Anyone in the S. Monroe St. area haveing cable problems? We only get a few ch. like ch. 60, 29, 28 but thats bout it, none of the others work , they were a few hrs ago?? I've been down in the basement going through the miles of cable I have running throughout this monster of a house!!

Just tried to watch the Chicago news, and channels 2 thru 13 do not work. All the rest are fine.

You arent alone. I have very few channels, others are black or scrambled. According to the mediacom cable forums it appears maybe a cut fiber optic cable and it appears to be affecting Illinois, Iowa and Indiana
From the mediacom forum:

You arent alone. I have very few channels, others are black or scrambled. According to the mediacom cable forums it appears maybe a cut fiber optic cable and it appears to be affecting Illinois, Iowa and Indiana From the mediacom forum: techs exploring possible fiber-cut causing cable problems in Northern Illinois, Eastern Iowa and Indiana. ever since they switched to digital signal,it has been nothing but alot of outages. they need to go back to anolog signals.

Yeah all mine r back but 2-13 and ch. 32. Whew, I would hate to have to replace all the cables I have.

I LOST Cable yesterday and today. I was only able to pick up "1" channel which I thought was ODD; channel 60. Both days, most are back now but channel 32. Just so happens that was the channel I was watching when it went out....... Grrrrrrrrrrrr....

I was refering to the you gotta love the new and improved Mediacom, like they can control some idiot with a shovel or backhoe. I suppose its Com Eds fault when some drunk runs into a pole or the wind knocks down a power line and we lose power...
