I Talked With The Guy That Drives It And He Runs A Neighbor Hood Watch Enforcement Program For A Town Of 600 In Livingston County It Has The Cage In It To! Why would someone running a neighborhood watch program need a cage in the back of the car?

does anyone else sense something is not right about this thread.. it is starting to sound like the guy from ottawa that was trying to start his own private rescue and the city said no,along with the guy being charged for having police lights in his vehicle running.then being charged for carrying a deadly weapon, and being charged for theft.
basically going around in a used police car with a cage in it,is asking for trouble. cause you know if something happens in town, that people will point the finger at you calling you a vigilante.
be safe,take out the cage.

he got pulled over because some lady was saying he was fallowing her. The thing about my car its so well kept and clean and looks nice people don't think twice about it. A Car like that around here you have to be like a sheriff or chief of police to have. I Got to hand pick it my self i had 5 to choose from. It had the cage and i wanted for my dog for his safety and mine while driving in the car. www.chicagomotors.incIt would probably be wise for you to remove any actual equipment that is only akin to bona fide police vehicles, such as the spotlight and the cage. It's one thing to own a used police vehicle and have a CB radio or something installed, but when you start leaving on or adding actual law enforcement equipment, you're probably asking for trouble. A private citizen in Illinois can't even legally run amber lights anymore because of impersonation issues.

Its my car i figured i would clear up stuff so people would stop asking and stop assuming stuff. Streator is a nice town and i plan on making it home for a while. In The Town I Live In Now I am The Neighbor Hood Watch Enforcement Officer. Because the are no cops but the county that comes around every now and then. i use to work for animal control and have worked with livingston cops on both sides and they are all great people and should be honored. Soooo...you're a cop wannabe? My understanding is that cop wannabes are pretty much discouraged from "helping out" by the pros. Let's see...you drive around in a souped-up car with a pit bull in a cage...hmmmm...sounds like you should be a character in one of those teen slasher movies. Barney and Andy wouldn't be happy that you're in town...especially Barney. You better check in at the Court House. Andy will invite you home for supper to size you up...maybe the Darlins will show up to provide some pickin' an' grinnin'. You stay away from Charlene, though.

Yes, but you have to skip down to section b for the rules on oscillating amber lights. I worked part-time for a lawn care contractor a few summers ago and ISP asked the owner to remove the oscillating amber light bars from their vehicle if they were going to use them while parked on a public right-of-way.

The dark colored Charger that's seen in the Pitstop East/Iowa Ave area, is in my neck of the woods. I've seen it driving around that area a dozen times or more, but not parked at any house.(maybe it does?) This car DOES have a cage, spotlight, and at least 5 antennas.

I am getting ready to go to school for criminal justice and public safety. I plan on being a streator, Ottawa , Livingston co. or Lasalle co. cop in the near future.
