wow, thats some scary chit right there. I have never bought fireworks, but there's no guarantee that my kids won't be with friends who have them.

i have used a wand lighter the kind used for lighting water heaters and furnaces, to light these before. you stand farther away from them when you light them.

I saw this kids picture.......ouch! I think it was a lesson learned the hard way. Many years ago one of my friends thought it'd be funny to light and toss an M80 in a bar that we were all in. Needless to say another friend of ours saw her do this and instinctively grabbed it before it could hit someone. He ended up almost losing the use of his hand and blew many fingers OFF. So.........it's not just kids that are ignorant. M

I read somewhere that injuries from fireworks are at an all time low. If I want to light fireworks, it's my decision. Not some suit in Springfeild. BTW we have a neighborhood show every year, been 10 yrs of enjoyment and nobody has ever gotten hurt. Just seen your post M, you get to see this neighborhood show every year, How have we been doing?

Just seen your post M, you get to see this neighborhood show every year, How have we been doing? but you realize even though it is state law that you can even be in more trouble if YOUR FIREWORKS lands on OTHER PEOPLES ROOFS and STARTS A FIRE ,YOU ARE LIABLE FOR ALL INJURY,DEATHS AND DAMAGES YOUR FIREWORKS CAUSED. so i ask you ,is breaking the law and playing with fireworks really worth GOING TO JAIL FOR?

If The suits want to put me in Jail for celebrating my birthday and the country's b-day. Let them go ahead. My law book says it's legal for adults to make thier own decisions when it comes to fireworks. So I would be breaking some politicians law, not mine.

After your garage burns down can you prove that it was MY bottlerocket that landed on your garage?? Why did this kids parents allow him to buy and the use the fireworks?? Are we suppose to feel sorry for him if he got behind the wheel and was injured in an accident?

YOU have broken the law .... OR are YOU immune to going to jail for breaking the law? [glow=blue,2,300]1) ADVICE LEAVE THE FIREWORKS TO THE PROFESSIONALS.
2) i have used a wand lighter the kind used for lighting water heaters and furnaces, to light these before. you stand farther away from them when you light them.[/glow]
