8-)Well, it was my first time at the fireworks and I was so glad I came!
The more time I spend here, the more I believe that folks in Streator have a true sense of pride.
Great show, my little ones, poppa, and I were glad to be part of the crowd! Can't wait to see the parade. Anyone tell me what the route is?
Streator rocks! ;D

Illinois St., paralleling the RR Trks. & the old train Station, lining up north of Main St. It starts rolling south on Illinois St., west on Main St., then north on Park St., to the north end of the park, then heads back east on Kent St. & to Illinois St.

did not have to go to the fireworks. 98% of the fireworks i could see from my home, except the low low ones that are shot off from the back of the bleachers. just looked out the window and watched them.
just think how much money in donations the committee would get if they had all high fireworks to where they could go door to door and get donations across the town instead of just around shs area.
some people cannot even get out of their homes to go down to the shs field to watch them. either expand the area coverage by buying really high ones that you can see all over town from your homes,or make arrangements to have it televised live on our local access channel so seniors and disableds can enjoy them too.
these people are missing out on this celebration.

Twista.....Be happy we have a VOLUNTEER 4th of July committee that works hard year around to raise the money to have the celebration we have. The committee cannot cover all the bases, they cannot cater to everyone.
Our fireworks are second to none and seeing the large number of vehicles leaving Streator last night in all directions is a testimonial to that. We do draw a large amount of out of town spectators.
THANK YOU 4th of July Committee for all your hard work, it is noticed!

as usual FVCK THE SENIORS AND DISABLEDS IN THIS TOWN MENTALITY! you cold hearted b@stards. hope none of you people ever have a problem when you are old or disabled and cannot get out to enjoy this celebration. july 4th represents the declaration of dependence of 1776. FREEDOM!!!!!!!!,CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS!!!!!!!ECT. And everyone should be able to be part of the celebration.

Twista, I think the problem alot of people have with your posts is that you seem to never be happy with anything or find the positives.
I just LOVE those big white flower looking ones! I'm mesmerized by them.
Thank you to the committee for all you do!

Twists, my 9 year old grandson is in a wheelchair. We take him to the field almost every year. But there are multiple other viewing areas! Last night was one of the few times I haven't gone to the field, but I watched them from my deck. I could even see the low ones! Big thank you to the committee! ! ! ! You do an awesome job. You put a smile on our little boys face, and that means the world to us! Him last night ->
