Is that a bark collar or a shock collar? Is she house trained? Whats her temperment? I assume she hasnt been fixed. I might be willing to foster her for a while, I'll have to give it some thought. I have 2 dogs now, that take up alot of room already. LoL.

It's an E-collar (Electronic collar)...but I always have it set on a very low level so it just vibrates/zings. It's so I can grab her attention from across the room since she's so hard of hearing. She is house trained and hasn't made a serious accident in the house in some time. She squats sometimes but nothing ever comes out. I almost think it's her way of letting me know she has to go. Not sure- never seen a female do that. Lol...

She is rather laid back... and acts submissive around our older dogs. She likes to be boss around puppies, though. I attempted to get her brother a home today and he... decided he did not like the new family. He was very scared of them and barked and barked. BUT as they walked by Eli (the female) she wagged her tail and hunkered down to get pet. She isn't insanely hyper and enjoys laying in people's laps. She has never shown any aggression and doesn't seem to fear people like her brother. And no, she hasn't been spayed. I have an appointment for her brother to get fixed tomorrow since it seems like we'll be holding on to him... but I couldn't afford to get her done too. She has had all of her other vet work, though.

The only thing she does that may be a wee annoying- is... whines/vocalizes a bit more than a normal dog. Not really bark, but whines, makes odd noises. I think it's because she can't hear herself- so she doesn't know she's making noise. Lol. She's really a doll... She seems to listen well when she knows what's expected of her, and doesn't show any human food aggression. I can stick my hand right in her bowl. She does lift a lip if the other dogs try to get her food, but nothing has ever come of it.

That would be amazing if you could... I have just had her and her brother so long that I'm at my wits end. I have my other dogs to handle, and now knowing her brother doesn't like other people and we'll likely have to keep him- I'm pulling my hair out. Lol. It isn't that she's a bad dog... I just have so much responsibility as it is... and never expected it to take so long to find her a home.

Let me know what you decide! I tried to call Mary at Pet Project on Friday and didn't get an answer... so even if someone fosters her until I can find a shelter or a person to adopt her, or maybe you'd have better luck finding her a home. It'd mean a whole lot- but I can completely understand your hesitance. Either way, I'll check back. Thanks for even considering her! :)

This is sad to read. I have met Mr. Rubio, and I'll tell you what..I NEVER once saw a frown on that man's face! He is very nice. I feel his frustration on unemployment. I have tweaked my resume two times now, got dressed up to professional levels, went to the job fairs, resume in hand, smiled & shook the hands of potential employers, chatted them up as they chatted back, only to try to hand them my resume and hear them say "Oh, we don't take resumes, you have to apply online." >:( Great! Online I become words on a screen, that's it. No personality, no first PERSONAL impression. Go home, spend HOURS filling out online apps as directed only to never hear another word. The things that I love (pfft!) about the job search: 1) the online application process that allows you to upload your resume, and it will parse and prefill in your application, only to find that you cannot continue until you fill in EVERY blank with every bit of information that is already on your resume. 2) Companies that have a booth at local Job Fairs, only to tell you they are not hiring. WTH??!! Then WHY are you at a JOB FAIR?? We've already established it is not because you want to collect resumes to build a pool of potential employees. UGH. And the search and frustration continues!

Yeah, sometimes home fridges are way too warm. 40 is the magic number, needs to be 40 or below. You would have a lot more than just milk going bad.

Pretty cool, never noticed it.
I will never forget a little story. Back in the 80's the Cardinals had a great team with lots of speed. One of my best friends was going back home to Kentucky with his family for a visit. (all die hard Cub fans)
They pulled up and they had one of the concrete stable boy statues out there all dressed up with red shirt and white pants and his Nephew said 'hey how come Uncle Soandso has Willie Mcgee out in his yard.' (maybe it was Vince Coleman)
Yeah, it will be interesting to see what he has available.
Thanks for the info.

Jules, I just saw an interview with one of the families that survived a tornado that hit Kansas tonight. They said they purchased a storm shelter, and that's what saved them tonight. Maybe you should look into that, so you can feel at ease. Sounds like a great idea.
